Boys Junior Varsity Football, Boys Varsity Football · Mountaineers 14 Bulldogs 0

In a game dominated by defenses, the normally high powered Kings Mountain offense scored 14 points…which was good enough for a 14-0 shutout victory over cross county rival Burns. The Mountaineer defense shut the Bulldog offense down all night while Kings Mountain’s offense did enough against a very good Burns defense to secure victory. The Mountaineers got on the board in the second quarter when Madisyn Bolin took a screen pass from QB Darren Burns and raced 70 yards for a touchdown giving the Mountaineers a 7-0 halftime lead. Darren Burns ran in from a yard out to finish the nights scoring for the Mountaineers. Kings Mountain is now 5-0 on the season and welcomes another Cleveland County rival Shelby HS next Friday. Next Friday is also the Mountaineers Homecoming game. Please come out and support the Mountaineers.
